From an internal newsletter article:

For commuters headed for San Francisco or Oakland, this station will provide an additional 1,200 parking spots at the station proper. For leisure riders, they can walk to Stoneridge Mall and to other retail outlets that will go up around the station. It will be located in the median of I-580, roughly halfway between the 10-mile gap between the Castro Valley and Dublin/Pleasanton stations.

The Dublin side will feature a 210-unit apartment complex, a 150-room hotel, office space and 7,500 square feet of retail space.

The new station is scheduled to open in 2009.
